Preparation for Initial Company Operations

Course Description: The course is designed to help newly promoted Company Officers learn planning and preparedness techniques and the importance of these techniques in promoting company readiness and firefighter safety during emergency incidents.

Target Audience: (1) Newly promoted COs and firefighters acting in the CO role and (2) first and second COs who arrive on an incident scene.

Prerequisites

MFRI Fire Officer I (MGMT 201) or Emergency Medical Services Officer I (MGMT 203) or MFSPQB, NBFSPQ, or IFSAC Fire Officer I certification is recommended.
